tly, children at school, especially those at primary level have been expressing their opinions on the sports that they play at school and how they feel about doing the same few sports (like football, hockey and netball) over and over again. As we all know, children are so energetic and after sitting in classrooms for most of the day, they just have so much energy left and usually makes tea time and bed time a living nightmare! By attending after school and early evening sporting activities, children get the opportunity to burn off all of this energy whilst having fun, meeting new people and becoming more confident. Karate has become the latest obsession for children after watching TV programmes and films such as the Karate Kid because all of them want to be the next Jackie Chan or Jet Lee. Getting them involved will not only make them feel good about themselves as they grow in confidence, but as a parent, it will give you a little more peace of mind as you know that they know how to protect themselves if anything was to happen. Seeing them enjoying sport will mean so much to the both of you because you know that they are having fun and keeping themselves healthy at the same time, but most importantly, it will make bed times easier!
